A friend approached me to do his car before a car show called Southern Worthersee. I agreed and we started on it shortly after. Mostly working on it late nights after work and stuff. It took about 4 weeks for me to do it. Needless to say, we got it done, but barely.

The car was rough. It had faded clear that was chipping away, beat up fender arches, horrible dent on the roof, some rust and some minor door dings.

There's a before shot of it.

Staying factory color

He got a new OEM trunk lid, so I sprayed the under side of that before we swapped it onto the car.

Onto the rest of the car.

I ended up shaving the rear flex lines.

And here you can see the faded clear coat.

Wetsanding and feathering it out

Quick spot prime in the driveway! lol

And that's all I can update this morning, I'll update more tonight after work. :) :pcorn:

Then we block the entire car with 400grit wet and remove old glue residue and various other small tedious tasks.

What it looked like for a few days while we had to daily drive it still.

A bottom view of the damage on the roof where it looks like someone backed into a garage door or something and caught the antenna at some point.

Hammer and dolly time to fix the dent.

Well we didn't get it 100% done for the show, but it went up there painted. The only parts we got to wetsand before the show were the hood, roof, and trunk. Car got alot of attention. I'm pretty happy with it and so it the owner.

Here's the final product.

What do you guys think?

Hey I just shot the bay in the garage. The booth belongs to a newly acquired friend. I had a buddy that new the owner of that shop and I asked them if I could rent it, they were hesitant at first, but allowed me to shoot the car there. After I was done they said I was welcome back to use it any time. The corrado exterior wise still isn't sprayed. I plan on getting it done for a show in sept. It's called H2oi or H20 international. It's in ocean city, maryland. You should go!

Primer/sealer/base was all Nason. Clear was Zolatone. Gun used for base was sharpe finex 3000, and for clear, I used a Iwata lph400.

1.4 tips on both.
