Amazing job on the paint, these pictures are really gonna help when I start to restore my 82' 928 and by the way where did you get interior parts for yours? I am in need of a complete interior restoration for my 928. Thanks, Stephan

I recovered the seats. A friend did the pod and I am STILL trying to finish the dash. I also recovered the headliner and sunvisors in a gray swede myself.
If you have a 928 I HIGHLY suggest joining http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/928-forum-69/ There are a couple upholstrey guys that specialize in 928 work. They are pricey but real nice high quality leather. I have been a member for years. Thanks |

Thought I would update my son's project. It's taking a lot more time than i thought but I am close now. I have to recover the dash and then all is ready for final reassembly.
Here is the head liner I recovered in.... well....headliner material. Its has a swede look. Again the car was completely Black inside to start with. I hope the addition of some gray will lighten the interior some. Last edited by Dean_Fuller on Thu Jan 05, 2012 3:08 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Here are the seats I recovered. They started out in all black well worn leather. now they are covered in an auto black vinyl with a cloth gray and black insert. They are much more comfortable compared to almost rock hard old leather.

Very Nice. I have 5 plus yrs in the sun everyday with my car. I used Finish1 clear and Dimension base. Nothing wrong with that 60 buck clear. 2 coats cut and buffed. Still shines. Needs deck lid re-cleared cause it has a hint of fade.....Car has ever been waxed too!
Never argue with an idiot, he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
