Hi Rob
First I masked it off and Glass beaded it then I polished the metal then I plated it & then dipped into the Yellow Chromate,

Its not as easy as it sounds if your polishing wasn't even or the plating wasn't even the part doesn't look right oh and time left in the plating tank and then again the time in the Chromate tank all are variables in how parts look when they come out.
Personally I redid this Booster 5 times start to finish I don't think I will be bothering to do another again It doesn't cost that much to have one rebuilt and it looks better, I will be shipping my Brake boosters out in future restorations.

That's a very involved process, too bad it didn't work out as well as you would have liked. All the hardware looks amazing :goodjob:

I am anxious to run these heads I worked on them for a long time.
Took my time they turned out nice I think, the machinist I use said it wasn't a bad job at all that they should run pretty good.

Just waiting 4 money

I know that story.
My R/T is stored in a friends garage right now because I have no room in mine. Still needs a few things but - - - no money!

Was Your car an original Hemi Car or was it always a 440 car?
Did you deck the block when building your motor? I wanna deck mine for like 10-15 thousandths clearance piston to deck.

Originally 440 HP which was standard equipment. The only option offered was the Hemi for the R/Ts.

Yes, I went zero deck on mine and the heads were shaved as well. Finished out about 11:1 on the compression from what the builder calculated. I live at 4400' elevation though so less air density.
