Cant ever have enough light, The older I get the blinder I become.
Your post reminds me I need to go get a few more boxes of lights before they dont sell them any more. I have the old style floresents T12?
Nice work on the panels! I have to get me one of those Tig welders yet, what model are you useing?
Also what supplyer are useing for the lead? I would love to learn how to do that the RIGHT way.

Thanks Doright, my welder is just a little miller maxstar 150, just big enough to do what I need from it. On the lead, you can get 30/70 lead from any welding supply store or eastwood. I don't recommend using lead, the only reason I used it is because I was working on an edge. Its expensive, dangerous, and hard to work with.

You've made a good start of it. I thought you would have finished everything in lead. How much a pound?

I was giving someone else advice about lead. It doesn't matter what it cost for this project, the customer is willing to pay what ever bill I give him.

I though you were doing it for free at the expense of your own education plus materials.
I will call my welding supplier friend for a price. Thanks anyway. Last edited by timbo on Thu Jan 12, 2012 5:42 pm, edited 3 times in total.

If you are going to quote me, you need to quote all that I said about the topic, so its not our of context. I did't say I was doing the job for free, just the extra metal finishing. Sooo, if you were getting this metal finishing work on your prized possession without charge, wouldn't you be willing to pay for what ever materials and extra tools that are needed or desired? Don't answer that question, because what you would be willing to do doesn't matter, its not your car I'm working on.
You have commented on a few of my posts like your feelings have been hurt. If I am resposible for that, then I'm sorry, it wasn't intentional.
This comment of yours was taken from here, on the first page. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=17795 edit When you change your post Tim, it makes mine look odd. Last edited by chevman on Thu Jan 12, 2012 8:06 pm, edited 3 times in total.

My simple question.....
"how much a pound for the lead?" Here is the complete quote in which you responded to me in the proper context my friend.
I was only curious. That is the reason I asked. You neglected to produce an elementary answer and proceeded to cloud it up with your arrogance. Please understand you have never hurt my feelings. I understand you completely. Don't complicate things by over thinking it. Have a terrific weekend!! PS remember what you said about ppl reading what is posted..... I already said to get it from your welding supply, mine may not charge the same as yours. Do you plan on using lead, or is there some other reason that you ask?
