So, the tech specs for my base coat say needle from 1.3mm-1.6mm.
The clear says the same.

Nason Ful-Base
Nason 2k clear (multi panel)

What size tip would be best for the gun to spray either finish and why? I am buying a new gun.

It is OEM. Bought it on ebay for $150 plus ship.

If you are in the states you can get it for just a little more than that from Majestic Honda (hondaautomotiveparts.com) They dont ship to canada so i was stuck.

The local Honda in canada wanted $210 for the inner grille and $90 for the outer trim part.

Didnt really do a ton, but I took some pics with my new camera and cleaned the bay up for paint.

The AC wasnt charged, so i took it apart. Going to replace all of the seals and put it back together/get it recharged.

Dad picked me up a Devilbiss startingline kit with 1.3,1.5 and 1.8 tips. Should be better than my $30 HF jobbie.

Hey! Thought you put it on the back burner. Those hondas rust where the bumper cover meets the fender well on the quarters. Any way keep us posted and hope the sprayers work well. Happy New Year!!

Let me ask you something,,,you said you used 180 grit on a 6" da to get a good base and then with 400 grit.
Did you use a guide coat after you sanded it with 180? I hope so. If you missed any areas, Its gonna show.

No guide coat yet.

I know there are some areas that need touching up, so i am going over it again once more just just prior to paint.

Can i spot prime areas like i have and lay base right on top, or should i hit the whole thing with some high build, sand it down again and giver with the base then? I think in the past i have just primed in spots with no ill effect on paint finish... but i cant remember.
