Sorry to hear that, if they say he should be good that's a great sign. I did 8 rounds of chemo (every 2 weeks) and 20 rounds of radiation (5 times a week) myself. That was 9 years ago :allgood:

That's what I had too, there's a few different types, mine was hodgkins lymphoma, stage 2b. If you or your Dad have any questions PM and I'll be happy to help out any way I can.

I usually go 80 unless it's something like a frame rail that can be kind of scaly and rough so 24 - 36 would make faster work of it. Regardless I finish with 180 - 220 before priming. Also there's 2 types of paper, p-grade and cami(?) and the grits are different, 220 of one is coarser than 220 of the other. There's a chart of it somewhere on the forum. There's some good stickys on the top of the body&paint forum you should check out. This one is good at expalining the grits to use, it may have that chart in there too, don't recall?

yeah my dads is mantel cell lymphoma hes in stage 3 i may have to give him some of my bone marrow, there not sure yet they found a spot in his bonemarrow.yeah i figured i would start at 80 grit on the body to bare metal then go up to 200 grite, apply epoxy primer, then apply 2k primer and block sand, and sand some more, and sand some more until its perfect then go up to 600 grit apply my sealer coat and spray my body color.

I wish you both all the best. Doctors tend to call them the way they see them so it's a very good sign that they're saying he will be fine. :goodjob:

engine bay plan sounds good

no problem, perfect is always the goal. there are a lot smarter people here than me though so do read some of the stuff posted on the body&paint part of the forum, anything by Martin Sr. is a must read. I just do this resto stuff for fun, or so I tell myself but there's always new products coming out and I work slow so I'm always behind what's new out there.
