another beautiful day in michigan was 65 degrees again, spent the day working on my fender sanding it all down and feathering in the chips, the hardest part was getting the rock chips in the lower section smooth, cleaned it all with wax and grease remover and in few minutes will be laying my last coat of 2k primer.

timbo u were right that marhyde is awesome stuff,it sands smooth in seconds and the paper last a long time, usually i start block sanding with 180 but this i could start my block sanding with 320 then go up from there, best 2k primer i have used yet.

Pepper it with the cheap primer when wet sanding. I use both but not the dry when wet sanding. :goodjob:

yeah i think im just gonna stick with the cheap primer for my guide coats, thats what im used to using and has worked great on all my other projects,so why hange, maybe i will try the dry guide coat on my quarters i havent decided yet.im kind of old school and have hard time changing my old ways when something works i been using already for years.

did warm up today but late so didnt get as much done as i hoped for, tomarrow is supposed to be warmer so should be an eventful day i hope, did get my final sanding with 400 grit on my jam,and wiped it down really good with wax and grease remover before laying my 2 coats of 2k primer came out really good, all i need to do now is wet sand with 600 grit and there ready for paint but that wont be until later, then maybe i can finally get the door back on,need to get me one of those cool door hangers will make life much easier.
