Topcoat has no metallics? As in the original paint or my new topcoat?

Also. For the plastic bumpers and the lower cladding on the car. Primer this stuff or just scuff and paint?

400 for solid color top coats and 600 for metallic top coat. The original paint you are covering is no longer top coat it is now primer. Top coat for example will be the fresh base/clear, AU, AE, etc.

For bare plastic cladding you should scuff, adhesion promoter then epoxy sealer or straight to color. Follow the tech sheet for your AP.

Another question. On the bumpers, they are plastic with a chrome (actual chrome) top. Removing the chrome from the bumpers is very tedious and usually ruins the bumper, so I want to leave it undisturbed. My concern is making off the chrome. I dont want to have a rough paint line when I peel the tape off. What should I do?
