ever get this job fixed? i have a bit of orange peel in some spots although not quite as bad as yours is on a job i just did and wondered if you fixed it, and how you went about it. thanks!

Over spray didnt cause the dry spots, and the orange peel, well wow. Hvlp isn't the best choice for clear, 35 psi obviously wasn't the problem either. Next time if u can use reducer, do so. r u sure it was a 1.4 tip? Also, spraying it heavy is most likely where u went wrong.

I used the same gun spraying SS on my Nova... I got bad orange peel at 35psi (trigger pulled)... I bumped it up the 45 (trigger pulled) and it did alot better. Its not a true HVLP even though its stamped on the handle. More like a conventional gravity gun.
