I should have been posting on here since I started but now the car is home and I can post pic more often
the car was rough when I picked it up the motor knocked(found out later it was the torque convertor bolts) the belts squeeled and it was hemorging oil from every gasket.
the one big dent was when it got hit by a deer
the big plus in it all is that it came from savannah tennessee with no rust bottom of the doors look great

I had a bunch of orange peel from having the air pressure too low. I bought a palm sander with a 3/32 inch throw and a purple hookit backing pad with a soft interface pad. I started with 1000g to cut through the op and then went over it with 1500.
to buff it I started with meg 105 and a wool pad. I then went over it with 3m step 1 compound and a white 3m cutting pad to remove the swirls that the wool pad left. I finished it off with 3m step 2 and a black 3m polishing pad here are some pics of the finished product in the immortal words of Frank Sinatra "That's Life"
