Well, I usually use photobucket to load pictures onto forums. But i never did it with my phone. So I'm finally at my computer. I was able to rebuild the torque box on the new frame rail. I used the old one for partial reference. I cut out all the rust and replaced with new metal. I just need to drill the holes for the parking brake cable, and attach that bracket. I hope to test fit and install the rail into the car next weekend.

I been making making my patch templets s from paper first and taping them together then laying them all out flat on steel then cutting them out then shaping the metal works for me.
I was lucky my Torq box's were in good shape that looks like a difficult repair.

Those floor boards don't look like there in much better shape,

Your not putting good metal over the top of rusted metal are you?,
I ask because that one picture is a little misleading?

How did you do your shock towers with the new trunk pan and the forward section behind seat back?

Nope. All new metal. I make templates out of thin carboard(beer case) then I transfered the templates to metal. Fit it the best I could then I cut out all the old metal. It was tricky to do that for sure.

I already got new floor pans. That's after the trunk and frame repair

I really haven't test fitted the trunk haven't looked into how to attach it yet. But this frame rail. I'm probably just going to lap weld it in. I think getting it to seam will be hard.

Sorry for the long delay. Ive had a busy year. I had a bunch of projects around the house to finish up, got a "new" truck and have my first kid on the way.

Anyways I started working on the camaro again. I got the frame rail installed. Im working on the trunk pan and tail panel now. I got it mocked up. I hope to clean it up and weld er up this weekend. I have to fit the tail a little better, you can see from the pictures that its not fulling seating in the place the old one was but Ill get it there.

Where are you getting your reproduction panels?
I have found that very few ever "fit" like they are supposed to. AMD seemed to be the best I have purchased so far but they are more money than say Goodmark.

They are not AMD panels. I can tell you that. I bought them from Ricks Camaro. I mean, I got the tail panel close, but it needs to be brought in a bit. Its a bit high, but at least it isnt like a fender or something that if I got it a bit off, it wont show as bad. I like to do a thorough job and so I know when I weld it in it will be right. Just needs a bit of persuasion. . But the truck pan fit the worst. I had to trim alot to get that to fit. But I got it in perfect now.

I ordered Goodmark full quarters for my '68 Coronet R/T and the stamping was terrible. Body line on the right panel ran down hill from front to back by over an 1" Also, the side marker holes were off one side to the other by nearly 3".
Since then I try to get AMD if they make it. Haven't had anything from them that didn't fit and that makes the job much easier.
