The kit is from Progressive Automotive. I just had to cut it to fit my frame. All the tubes were bent by them. As far as cutting the angles for it to fit in the frame I centered it on top of the frame and cut it to fit. |
|
I also decided to fab up a tubular cross member to replace the factory one.

Does BAM stand for "Bad **** Mother ****"???? Because it surely fits!! nice work!!!

LOL. Thanks man. |

I think BAM must stand for BIG AMOUNTS of MONEY. LOL
Great work on the installation. Can't wait to see this thing done. I can't remember, did you install a tilt hood on your truck? I am having trouble with the kit on the 55 build. 1968 Coronet R/T

LOL. Now that is funny. If you seen my bank account you would know how funny that is.lol Yeah I have the tilt hood from no limit engineering. The instructions leave a lot to be desired but once you figure it out is a nice piece. It takes some patience to get it just right. |

That's what I am using as well but I cannot get it to close all the way. The rods with the adjustable swivels hit the cross brace they bolt to just before it closes all the way.
This is as far as it will close: This shows how I have it installed: This shows the rod hitting the brace: Maybe you can see something I did wrong? I tried contacting them and sent photos but they never responded. 1968 Coronet R/T

I don't notice anything in the pics but here are a few close up shots I found of my install maybe you will notice something.
This is how mine line up when the hood is closed. Here are some under the hood shots |

On your first pic it looks like the cross brace on the hood is installed opposite the last picture.
The recessed part is pointing down instead of up. Which way did you end up with it? 1968 Coronet R/T
