Thought I'd share this one. Been working on it off and on since November while doing 3 other projects. But this one is finally getting closer. Anyways, this truck was a basket case..Ill let the pics do the talking. If i had to do it all over over again, I would have made the guy yank the cab off the chassis and have everything blasted. That would have saved me a lot of grief...

A lot of metal had to be replaced, but I farmed that out to the local shop by me, they did a great job. Ill do small metal patching, but I'm not about replacing entire aftermarket panels that dont fit right...

The day it showed up:

and it all went to hell from there, lol

After seeing just how bad the cab was he picked it back up and took it to get the metal work done, Meanwhile i got crackin on some of the other parts

Great job on the paint. I am sure he was thrilled with it.
I take it he is going to do the assembly?

Yes. I have some interior pieces left to paint along with the front fenders, hood and grill.

I generally do not do the assembly portions. Ill put back on what I take off but that's about it.. I do not have the room or the time for that. My wife is already on my **** about working every night and its hard to make any money on assembling. I've been working non stop every night for the past 5 years and its starting to finally catch up with me, lol. This was picked up at 3pm on Sunday and by 5pm there was another complete repaint dropped off.

Working a fulltime job and then going home every night and working isnt really what its cracked up to be!!!!!

Know what mean about wife getting ill and losing family time.
My wife quit coming out to garage. Cause it aggravated her. That I would prime something sand it then do it again and again. :rotfl:
On edit. Nice job on truck by the way.
If it ain't BROKE fix it till it is!!

A hotrod shop local to me is doing all of the final assembly of the truck and I had a chance to stop in and snap a few pics.
