Gday guys,

just thought i'd share my project!

I purchased this car from a wrecking yard. For the price I paid back in 2009 it was apparently too expensive as most people would only buy it to be used as a spare parts car and not restore. At $1,900 and absolutely complete it was worth it to me. Try find one now for that price!

My first car was a sedan version and I always wanted a hatch version! So let the fun begin.

Not much got done in the first couple of years - thanks to Call of Duty Multiplayer haha.. but then I got stuck into her and here how it stands now.

Absolutely everything so far has been done by me with no help - so that's a win!
The work I have done follows:
NOS passenger quarter (lucky to find)
LH/ LX Torana rear sheetmetal
Rust in C Pillars
Rust in sills
Flat boot floor
New beaver panel
Fixed kinked passenger chassis rail end
Smoothed engine bay, deleted battery tray, removed rust behind bonnet hinges.
Rusty plenum chamber
New door skins
Repaired stress crack on floor pan where drivers seat mounts
Prime, blocked and painted
Restore front crossmember

Oh yeah, for the keen eyes out there, the rear end looks different, I swapped out the 1978 taillights and grafted the earlier 1974/6 LH/ LX Torana look. As they aren't as ugly.

I owe alot of my knowledge to this website! I don't think there is another source I would trust as much as I do Autobody 101.

Thankyou!

Looks great. I do like the wrap around tail lights better.
