Satellite/ wanna be RoadRunner, came into the shop the other day for a complete Canary Yellow paintjob. These pics are how it arrived. It's a very solid car overall, especially for an old Mopar. We have been welding trim holes shut and patching some rust. I'm learning how to weld and make patches. :goodjob: We will be removing the engine/ trans.

Going to make great car NOVAFREEK. Love the old Mopars. When I was a young man in 1969 I had a beautiful 1968 Charger RT with all the options including factory air. 440 Magnum with a 727 Torque Flight behind it. Beautiful metallic blue with a black landau top. What a car, funny though rear tires didn't last long on it, must have been a factory flaw something to do with the gas pedal :goodjob: One of the cars I wish I had never let go.

Not to hijack the thread but it was a 1968 Plymouth GTX my uncle bought after getting back from Nam that hooked me.
Later my high school best friend bought a 1968 Charger R/T and during the burnout contests while leaving the school parking lot he was the undisputed champion.
Makes me want to get my 1968 Coronet R/T out of storage and go for a ride.

Just a little update... we have been working on the car steady since she rolled in, driver side bodywork is complete (welded up trim holes, made a couple rust patches, removed lead filler, and fixed dents and dings) it's now in epoxy and working our way around the car. It's got some rust, but for a Mopar it seems minor. Floors and trunk are solid and Quarters are pretty solid too. I was shocked at the condition of the bottoms of the doors, no rust there at all. Couple holes in the rockers and in the fender drops behind the wheels. Its a big project, we still have to pull the engine and trans and wiring and sandblast the engine bay... the owner should have done that before he had the rest of the car blasted.

Just a little update... Haven't been doing much on the Plymouth lately, but should be hitting it hard next week. This week the engine bay was blasted and epoxied. Next week will probably be alot of priming and blocking, maybe even a little paint by the end of the week. The Plymouth got put on the back burner and we started on a 73 Mustang which we had to strip to the metal, just got that one in high build primer today.

I have more pics of the Plymouth here>>>http://s1075.photobucket.com/user/andyspaintshop/library/73%20Plymouth?sort=3&page=1
