Dan, on the gun suggestion take a look at: DeVilbiss Tekna Copper, ProLite or "Plus" guns. They are all very good and at a good price point. If you can find an excellent condition SATA 3000 RP those are real nice, too.

Also I was wondering what the window was on the cut and polish on the Tamco 2100 clear. I would like to get started on that. I figured I would knock it down with 1500 flat then hit it with 2000 and buff. I like the 3M Super Duty Rubbing Compond 05954 with Maguires red foam pad and the Machine Glaze 05991with white foam pad. Any suggestions?

Dan there isn't a window for cut/buff specifically stated. We've cut/buffed cars here after a week. Even months later you could still do it - the clear will be cured more and it might take a little more effort but it can certainly be done.

As far as I know the only Tamco clear that specifically warns about a window is the hi-impact clear -- after about three days it is very hard.
