Hey guys. I'm new here. I recently bought a 76 International Scout Traveler. I plan to clean it up a bit and hopefully slap some paint on it. I have never painted a car. But I have grow up around body shops. My Mother has managed a few. So I have helped out here and there.
The Truck is in pretty good shape, a bit of rust here and there. Also surface rust hopefully not to much pitting. But I plan to patch or replace the cancer parts. No big dents just some dings here and there that I need to address.
Im not looking to get a show piece. But as nice as I can do myself.
Any tips or tricks along the way are welcome!
Here is some pictures of what Im starting with

Start by taking pictures of every square inch of your project. Inside, outside, under the hood, drive train, fuel tank, wiring, plumbing, switches, etc. These will be invaluable when putting it back together.
While taking your pictures keep a pencil and paper handy to write down everything you see that needs attention. Missing bolts, stripped screws, broken wires, etc. When dismantling be sure to have plenty of ziplock bags and small pieces of paper so you can bag and insert a note telling you what the parts are for. 1968 Coronet R/T
