Done. Call or email anytime. Email me Wednesday I'll reply with some photos of the work I do. Sadly I can't post publicly due to proprietary agreements with the auto manufactures.

Could you describe the process of applying this finish a bit. What's the equipment required, etc etc. What I have read about it looks rather costly to get set up. Maybe I am wrong.

Thanks

about 10k a machine i have 3 machines that spray the chemicals. once set up it is pretty inexpensive. normal 1.1 1.3 spray gun for the basecoat proccess.

2k primer finished in 1000 or 1200 grit
spray a special basecoat that dries very smooth and shiny
after 24 hours dry time you have to torch it with propane torch and pray you dont bubble it lol

then a bunch of chemicals in a machine get sprayed on rinsed off and cleared. thats the short version.

it is absolutely the most difficult and unforgiving finish i have ever done. you tube makes it look all easy and simple but i assure you it is not. i could write pages of the process but that the main stuff there. i use Cosmichrome if you want to look up more

It almost sounds like electroplating without the tanks. How do you dispose of any over spray that gets on the ground? I am kind of interested in the process. The finished product is awesome.

Thanks

a guy I work with had some rare aluminum wheels done in s.ca. don't remember the co. but they looked flawless, absolutely better than chrome. I couldn't' believe it.

how well would this spray chrome work on aluminum wheels regarding oxidation?

I know even chrome isn't perfect.

I wouldn't mind getting you to do some 3 piece aluminum wheel faces. Refinishing aluminum wheels in dipped chrome seems prohibitively expensive locally. ($800/wheel, which is the same as new high end wheels anyways if your not going for a restoration)
