I'm a total newbie and have been working on this for 1.5 year already when I have spare time. Already cut and welded a couple spots, didn't get the driver rocker very good but it was caved in before. Her door was dented badly in that area too. Several times I have primered and sanded. Last one wet sanded primer with 1000 grit. Have a few little spots to get by hand but getting ready to paint. Hopefully this weekend. Going black 2 stage. Hoping it turns out alright. Has a 390 engine and automatic trans. Fun cruiser. I know I should have removed the trim but it's 1 year only and LTD only so I was really nervous about damaging anything. No reproduction for this stuff.

Very nice. Love these cars. My brother just sold a 73 LTD coupe with 429 4bbl. He sold it too cheap. Couple guys flew out from Florida to California. Drove it back.

Turned out alright for a $9 harbor freight gun and painting under a carport I think. Got some orange peel and couple sags and whatnot but I am happy for my first job.

Very similar. Custom 500 is same car just a lower trim version. Same with galaxie and XL. I believe the XL was the top level. Mine is an LTD.

Putting more pieces back on as I get time. Ordered all
The barrel clips to reinstall the emblems. I need to figure out a way to repair the roof side LTD emblems. They were falling apart before I removed them.
