Looks great!
I learnt to paint while watching videos and reading during the slow periods and nightshifts too

Moving along slowly. Cut and buffed, used the body filler trick for sanding out a couple runs and worked great. Had a buddy come over and help position the front suspension back under the car so I can roll it out of the way and get to working on the rest of the panels.

paint looks great.
Now the tedious part of putting the car back together without scratching the new engine bay paint. HellaFab.ca

Yes, tedious indeed. I stripped the front passenger side crossmember bolts and mangled the frame rail using bolt cutters to remove them. It'll be my first attempt to blend clear.
Sanded down to 180 and shot epoxy with a harbor freight detail sprayer. Did pretty well for a $15 gun. Temps have dropped here so I used a heat gun to get the metal up around 85F, used my propane heater to warm the shop for a few hours while it flashed. I'll be laying the paint when I get home tonight. If I can get the blending technique down I will move on to the areas where I nicked through to base during the cut and buff. Just about have everything back together besides the drivetrain and the yet-to-be-painted bits. |

Well, attempted my first blend and I'm reasonably satisfied. I used the base that has been sitting in a mixing cup for over a week and didn't think of doing a test spray to see if the color was still right.
In the future, if I need to lighten the color, would i just add in some reducer? |
