ok, so since the ke20 corolla got sold, and now my calibra is finished and the stepson wants to buy it, oh, and i regrettfully sold my mazda r100 project (way way way too much rust for my skillset right now) ive bought a new project,
well 2 acutally, 1 good car and 1 parts car,
good car, 1982 s1 nissan bluebird
parts car, 85 s3 bluebird trx.
plans are simple, all the trx parts into the s1 (which already has upgraded brakes and suspension), nice wheels, paint and use it as a daily, then save up for a 13brew conversion
will post up some pics when i actually have posession of the cars, hopefully real soon as i want to get it all done asap as when the calibra goes, im back to driving my work van as a daily :knockout:

lol, bit far to send it, was gonna cost $1500 to send it to melbourne (from devonport), thats only a over night sailing!!
was very sad to see it go, but it had no chassis or floor left, gutters were rusted, doors were stuffed, rats had eaten wiring, lol, going to be a drag car now!!

ok, so its been a while, no work has been done on the car apart from polishing the wheel rings (3 piece rims), they were in very bad condition, that bad i had to start with p80 to get all the oxidisation off them, then all the way upto 3000 and then hit it with polishing wheels on the bench grinder, they came out great, not perfect, but pretty good!!
anyways, here are some pics of how i got the car

and here is the parts car, all the trx facelift parts will go on the earlier model

and the whole project has taken a slight change of direction, lol
instead of getting it on the rd with the std engine and box
i got offered a fd rx7 13b engine block for a bloody bonza price (still more than i budgeted tho), it is a fully rebuilt ex race engine, large extend port, exhaust ports have been reworked, unbreakable seals, balanced and clearenced, race spec bearings, made 322rwkw on a reliable and safe tune to be driven full noise at 20 laps at a time round the track, so me using it as a semi daily shouldnt stress it too much, only problem is, ive spent my whole engine conversion budget on just the block, so the turbo is just a std turbo ive had laying around for yrs, ecu is a 2nd hand microtech lt10s and x4 box, i am pilfering bits from the mrs 12a (clutch, box, water pump and alternator) just to get the car on the rd till i can afford to upgrade it all.
its going to be fully engineered and legal as i dont want any hassles down the track!!
hope to be able to start on it soon, just have to wait til the mrs rx7 sells to make room for it in the shed and get cracking, i really want it all done this summer so only have maybe 4-5 months!!
