Unfortunately we're never as well insured as we think, you don't find out until you need it. I found out yesterday, at least up here, you can add a vehicle component to your house insurance but I don't know what the additional cost would be? Sorry to hear you lost another hood Dennis, hope the winds don't do anymore damage. We're having another storm today, not supposed to be as bad as the last one but again coming from the dreaded SE direction that is very rare and destructive.

Dang I wish I had a bunch of money, this would look good in the Duster or better yet pick up a 68 Charger project for it.

Speaking of Insurance next Thursday we are heading off to Israel for 7 days and then off to Southern France. I will be renting a car and have been reading the policies. :bored: :bored: They are worded in "translated" lawereeze and just about impossible to really understand so even though our major credit cards provide some insurance i am going for what ever they push on me for full coverage and liability. :realmad: :realmad: I guess that will ease my concerns. All i would need is to get into some accident with a $100,000 Mercedes and get thrown in the "hoosegow" for not having the proper insurance.
it needs to be lowered with big and littles. .

I missed your earlier trunk fitting post Doug, looks like you have things well in hand :goodjob:

Israel eh? Aren't things kind of sketchy over there? or do I have my middle east war torn countries mixed up? Hope you have a safe and fun trip

We're just heading to the cabin for the weekend, just dumping down with rain at the moment  At least the winds seemed to have run their course, I hope.

I've only managed to get in a couple hours on the Stang this week, still stripping the front end and getting ready to weld some patches. Really tedious work, wish I would have had it blasted :knockout: :knockout:

Yes it is a little tense over there but it has been for thousands of years. :allgood: :allgood:

I understand completely about the blasting and having clean metal, that is why I have my stuff dip stripped.

We should be getting some rain starting this evening, we need it. Glad your storms are subsiding

Have a great weekend

Sure is quiet around here :bored:

It's time to get the Riv back on the road, I need to paint the motor and then drop her in next time it's sunny. I painted the exhaust manifolds yesterday with POR20 high temp manifold paint. It's supposed to be really good, the color looks great :goodjob:

Wish I could say the same for the motor, since it's got collector plates I have to leave it stock which means that horrible Buick green, kind of like sea foam green I guess. No pop to it at all

Wait,why?

I would think as long as the engine stays stock,it would be fine, what does paint have to do with the plates...?
My programs never have bugs, they just develop new features!

I'm not 100% sure on the engine paint but no custom anything is the rule, no aftermarket rims, stereo, engine dress up kits, can't lower it, etc. so I figure better safe than sorry. Besides until they drop the age for custom plates when I can really change things up it's best to keep it all bone stock.

Manifolds look great Rob did you sand blast first?

Nothing going on around hear still working on home refinance, Working on my Chain Link fence still !!!!!
Never done one before pain in the Butt! I have done lots of other fences before but never a chain link.
Going to cement in the last two corner posts and all the gate posts today then I will be able to set up my filler posts.

Its getting the heights of all the posts all set up properly so it all looks strait :knockout: I have one section I already know is going to be about 8 inches off the ground. Going to have to bring in some filler dirt for that one section.
Doing my whole lot 1.25 acre its a lot more work than I was wanting to do but if it looks half as nice in reality as it does in my head it will be worth it.

I really like the color of the manifolds, it really looks right, I'm not used to seeing non rusty exhaust manifolds. Nice thing with the POR20 is you can also brush it on, I sprayed it but I can do touch ups with a brush later on if need be :goodjob: Yes, sandblasted first.

I've never worked with chain link either, I can imagine it being a pain to stretch just right and just to work with in general. Good thing you're doing it yourself, must cost an arm and a leg even that way but paying someone to do it must be outrageous for that big a property. :splat:

Wonder how Doug's trip is going?
