I was out there last couple days its frustrating right now for me, Working on different personal projects currently.
Still thinking about thinning out the heard a little though, sick of all the junk and that's all it is till there done! All I see is dollar signs flying out the window for cars that wouldn't sell for what I would have in them.

Thinking Im just gonna finish up the 70 bird as planned and sell it off and keep the 71TA,72 Charger,57Chrysler get rid of every thing else just getting tired of all of it. Need to take a good long break I think. gonna go fishing, hunting, & prospecting for awhile.

I don't know if they're worth much in pieces either and if you build them to sell them you can come out on the wrong end of that deal too, so tough to say which way to go. I don't really have any intention of selling anything I build so I don't tend to think too much on that part of it.

Taking a wilderness vacation might be all you need to recharge your get up and go :goodjob:

I'm building a wood shed at the moment, then hope to sort out the suspension on the Stang and get her on her wheels.

Sure is dead around here

I'm just about finished the shed, then back to the Stang soon :goodjob:

This 66 GTO was at the little show by the cabin, I know purists hate this sort of thing but I love it. It was non numbers matching to start with and made a beauty of a restomod with the LS7 motor with blower pushing around 1000 hp and a 6 speed trans, oh yeah

I agree that sure is a nice setup and I bet it is very reliable and easy to drive, as long as your foot is not in it :splat: :splat: :rotfl:

The "Shed" is at the cabin correct?

I'm still working away at the 38. its back off of the frame and on the rotisserie. My time is really stretched thin because I am working out at Dave's and it is 1 hour each way. :knockout: :knockout: I know I still owe pictures and promise to post some soon :whoops: :whoops: :whoops:
it needs to be lowered with big and littles. .

Ya he said it can get sideways pretty quick if you hammer it :splat:

This shed is at the house, now that we retired we're using wood to heat here too so I needed somewhere to put the wood. The cost difference in using wood over oil or electricity is staggering.

That's a long commute to work on it, that's unfortunate :knockout: :knockout:

Yes you do owe some pics! :pcorn:

Im a purist at heart so I will withhold comment on the Micky Mouse Pontiac  Too each his own.

Well I have been taking lessons from you guys NOPE nothing to report well I been working just not on anything fun really.
Did get my heads back from machine shop for the Plymouth but that's still on hold Planning a trip to CA to pick up a 70 Bird quarter skin this week or next not sure yet but cheaper if I go pick it up not worth 200 for shipping for a 100 part that's just ridicules in my opinion.
Once I get that I should be able to make a little progress, tried as best I could to salvage that right one but its just not working for me.

Well the wheels don't really float my boat but if I had the funds to have all new Vette motor, trans, brakes and suspension in my Riv I would be all over it

So anyway I'm still marching along with baby steps, got the rear end cleaned up and painted. Just need to get all new brake components, drums, shoes, cylinders, springs, axle seals and bearings. Also replacing all the old brake lines. Next up is the front suspension. My sand blast cabinet sucks, problem is it justs stops blasting anything but air after every 5 or so minutes, it's driving me batty. :realmad:

Well I could see a full on redo of a Riviera with Vett stuff maybe but a Pontiac no, Sorry dont care how much Corvette you put under another car its still not gonna be a corvette, If you want a Vette buy a vette build a Vett its still just a Vett I have had a few of them and Im sorry I wasn't all that impressed with them. As far as that Big bad ls1 ls3 whatever?? 350 you'd be putting with all that Vett stuff You put one of those big Superchargers on any old big block Buick engine OR a Big ol Pontiac big block you'd soon discover WHY they say "Theirs no substitute for cubic inches!" No disrespect to Doug or His project witch is just cool as hell.

So you finished with your trunk now? The After market Trunk I got didnt hit a home run with my project either ran into plenty of problem areas, Im not trying to hide it though just making best of it and moving on.

I have been back out their banging away on things and you all should expect a lill bit of some visual progress from club 70 Firebird soon.

A Lill side note Welding Aluminum SUCKS!, well trying to teach ones self how to weld Aluminum Sucks! :knockout: :flatten:
That's a bit of a bewilderment how they do dat?????? I soon gave up on that but not before a couple good AH! HA! moments and then I started back on the Firebird at least I can manage a little visual progress on that now and then.

That turned out really nice Rob
Turns out the Trunk pan I bought was for this was also same for a 70-73 Camero's but is used in 70-73 Firebirds truth of matter it would work on a 71-72 bird but not a 70 I can make it work but I shouldn't have to.
If you need to reshape 2 square feet of metal its not the same piece Im sorry, Part should have came with detailed instruction what was needed to be done to it to be used in my application while it was a good looking piece mine gets an F for fit finish.

If and when I the 71 TA out there this pan will fit it like a Glove, Not looking forward to that much drilling though right now.

Camera got left out in shop again! sorry no pictures

Thanks Dennis. It took a lot of reshaping to work and I tried two different ones on one side, the "concours" fit was a joke, twice the price and twice as bad :splat:

Odd that a 70 and a 71 would be that much different, just your luck. The whole repop industry needs to figure this **** out
