I finished up doing the Vinyl flooring in my Mom's old place came out good, still need to fix the Doors and Fence off the back from my shop then I can rent it out.

Ya it's too bad we're all so far apart, would be nice to check on everyone's projects in person.

Hope you find some good renters when the time comes.

I haven't done much the last couple days due to an unforeseen hangover :splat: I did get the fender splashields put together and mounted at least

Rob, the Stang is really looking very very nice keep up the work.. yes I know about hangovers, they do interfere a bit with progress of any kind :realmad: :realmad: :rotfl:

Dennis, we have a few rentals and I advise you to be patient, check them out thoroughly. missing a month or so rent finding a well qualified renter in the beginning will usually payoff many times in the end. Well enough of "father Doug's" advise :knockout: :knockout: back to cars :allgood:

We just about have the stainless steel gas tank construction complete. It should hold about 22 gallons. hopefully if I keep my foot out of it I should make 300 miles between fill-ups   we are working the rack and pinion and because I narrowed the front 4" the Corvette power rack wont work. FLAT OUT Engineering has a narrowed one and the rack is perfect but the arms that connect to the tie rod ends are a "fat inch" to short. :flatten: :flatten: fortunately the guys there are local and being very helpful finding a solution. going out to Dave's now to see if the solution works
it needs to be lowered with big and littles. .

Thanks Andy, hopefully I'll actually finish it one day. It is slowly coming together.

That sounds like a pretty serious issue with your R&P setup Doug, I sure hope your guys can come up with a viable solution. There has to be some way to make it work, hopefully one that is cost effective.

They poured the concrete yesterday for the garage lean to so I'm pretty happy about that, next up will be garage doors

Hey guy's

Doug
Thanks for the advise I'm gonna use a Rental company / relator, Calvin's Girl friend Kelly said her mother who's a realtor and runs a rental Management co. and would help me with renting it out. Maybe I will learn something new?

Thanks Dennis. Everything up here has been 2x6 construction for quite some time, maybe 30 - 40 years. More room for insulation I guess, which is a good thing. My house is older with 2x4 walls and single pane windows so right now with the cold snap it's hard to keep it as warm as you want. An arctic front came in and the lows have been around 26F, can't wait for that to end, way too early for that :splat:

Great idea on having a management company take care of it. You'll have to tell them you rent the shop so they don't know you own the place, otherwise they will be pestering you with every little problem. :knockout:

I've got one door and fender aligned pretty well, not a lot of fun to do by yourself, even with the door dolly :knockout:

I went to LA yesterday and picked up two new quarter panels for the 70 project and a new front cowl top portion it needed Probably gonna start seeing some work from me soon.

The Cowl is a very nice hi quality piece or so it looks we will see how it fits, I am giving up on trying to save that one quarter panel no matter what I do Im having problems saving it and If I have to do one well I'm gonna do both lol.
I had it on there looking good and then got greedy, It got ugly after that needles to say the new half quarter repair panels quality sucks not much better than patch panels in my opinion. I should have had them pull there full quarter skins and checked them out while I was there but I didn't due to there hi price they just arnt an option for me.

Hope to see some progress on the bird soon Dennis :goodjob:

I'm kind of stuck at the moment, trying to find a better right side fender, mine needs more work than I would like to put in. Got a loaner repop fender to try, just a brutal fit, so that's a no go, unbelievable :splat: :splat:

So I figured I'd get the hood on and see how that lines up with the one fender that's on and I see my new fandangled hinges are missing a clip off one of the strut rods :realmad: :realmad: Now I have to figure out where on earth I can get one locally, otherwise it's another long wait while the supplier ships me one. Not happy :drink:
