That looks great Doug!!! I can only imagine what a great handling ride that will be

I'm a bit confused on the registration? You lost the papers but they just let you register it off the VIN? Up here if you don't have the regies you're pretty much done for unless you already had registered it in your name previously, or you can track down the previous owner and drag him with you to an insurance place.

I have the bottom of the car totally ready to paint, just need to find the time, been crazy busy with other stuff.

Isn't retirement wonderful, you get so busy you cant get anything done :flatten: :flatten: :knockout:

Did you get the bottom painted?

Dennis you still out there?

The car got registered and licensed as a 1938 Chevrolet master 2dr sedan        I had to give a statement of fact that the car was newly constructed and that I lost the paperwork. Now to get it changed over to my 1938 YAM plates, I here they get $200 just to see if they can be used :splat: :splat: . Hope I can they will look KOOL

Still haven't done the floor :whoops: I found a few more little things to fix under there and it's all masked off and ready to go but this retirement business is so time consuming :knockout: :knockout: :knockout: We're going to a big swap meet this weekend and then I will be painting the floor, promise

I had to google the YAM plate thing, never heard of that. Nice that you were able to register it without much hassle :goodjob:

Dennis has been hiding for a while now, thought we'd have a firebird update

The old plates would look sweet. You can run them here but there's restrictions as usual, I think it needs to be bone stock, at least I've never seen one on a rod or custom. We also have collector insurance but that comes with it's own unique plates. I have that on the Riv, costs about 1/5th of regular insurance :goodjob:

Wow 102F :splat: :splat: It's been the nicest spring up here that I can remember, 65 - 75F everyday and sunny, hardly any rain at all, very strange but great.

Well I got the bottom of the floor primered in this rust destroyer type primer, hope it's as good as I've read. Most of the floor is new but all the heavy structural stuff was solid but with a lot of pitting that you would have to sandblast to really get into, and as you know I didn't have the car blasted. I need to wait 48 hours to topcoat and I can finally move on to something else. :knockout:

We went to a swap meet in Munroe, Washington on the weekend, we've been before and can't believe how big the swap meets you guys have. It was great :goodjob: :goodjob:

Picked this up at the swap meet for the grandkids to play with, though it was pretty cool, 1955 I think
