Sadly I'm not holding out on you, haven't done a thing in the last couple weeks until yesterday. I started doing the glass work on the hood, what a messy business that is, I looked like I'd been tarred and feathered with mat fibers hanging off me all over :splat:

Well, um, maybe :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Let's go with, needs some more spit and polish before the unvailing, that and I really haven't done squat since the first kick at it.
Biggest problem is the way it drooped off the side, I couldn't get a proper backing in place so I will need to build up a fair bit and then sand a lot more off the bottom. I did better at the front bit, like everything in life you need to get in there and fail so you can learn :goodjob:

I like the part when u say get in there and fail to learn sooo true

Well new job report
I like it but I don't so far, The training this week has SUCKED Big donkey i Guy running training is all about making himself look good and could care less if any one passes his own little tests got news for him its a reflection of his classes! keep in mind I have all licensees for job and am far smarter than he is plus have 10+ years of experience on him too. My Boss knows what the guy is up too and what he is about.
Any way though I will get through it and will stick with it, till something better comes along. The Good news is something better is already knocking on the Door! Two others are also wanting to pick me up so I am gonna follow the money and see were it leads at this point.
May be I stay were I'm at as the pay aint bad and doesn't seam like a whole lot of pressure either but at same time there are a lot of big signs that say the place may not be long for world like its a dieing ship.

Dennis, glad you .... well. . . sort of like your job. Is it close to home? Training is always a trial. :splat: :splat: I find that hands on is how I learn, and yes Rob as you say " fail so you can learn :goodjob:". That is what rework is all about :flatten: :flatten: :flatten:
it needs to be lowered with big and littles. .

As long as the pay is decent just go with the flow, there for a good time not a long time. There's always some annoying twit higher in the pecking order no matter where anyone works, such is life :knockout: :knockout:

So how is that rework going Doug? Haven't seen any progress pics in a while

Finally dragged my butt back out to the shop and I'm getting close on the hood side extension, needs a wee bit more added, then trim it back some more. After that I need to hang the front stuff for the headlight bezels, they're a fair bit off so I need to add glass to the hood there and shape the curve to match. I'll take pics of that when I get to it. Once the hood is good to go I'll have to remove it and glass in a bit from the bottom side. Starting to get the hang of it now :goodjob:

I hear ya Doug
But I got this problem after 45 I forgot how to hold my tongue and evidently I aint learned how to hold it yet Ran into trouble again today as I was leaving no less for the weekend.

I don't wanna go into it publicly but really I didn't say any thing, seriously!
But the other person is taking it personal and got real bent out of shape about it.

I made a comment about the training that I have been in all week, and it was all over going home end of day And I said "I had been in Aviation working for 5 different airlines over 25 years and in all the classes I had ever taken in all those years In MY opinion it was the worst class's I ever attended" Boy did he take it personal? threatened to fire me gonna tell my boss his boss and every one else and a bunch of other BS.

Of course this was after he had bragged about shaving almost a week off the training classes bragging how good he was how he got most all the mechanics there to fail his tests after the classes oh and the director of maintenance.
Oh and even I failed 3 of his childish tests and had to retake them, I passed in end and all but we are supposed to be able to give an anonymous critique of class witch isn't Anonymous if your the only one there and he forces you to fill it out.
I thought I was being man telling him to his face instead of putting it on paper for his boss to read too? I'm like ya go ahead tell your boss and mine go ahead.

If he was a good teacher people would pass his test's, How you can you teach a class to two people and one fail 3 tests and the other 2 tests?
say we weren't paying attention? say we were sleeping? oh I know we were screwing around in class not paying attention. no no I know I admit it we were playing with our I phones that's it.

Im not worried I went for another job interview Thursday at another place.
Small fast growing company with lots of possibility's for advancement into management.

There is a shortage of experienced aircraft mechanics now and every one is hiring.
Its a employees market not an employers
