I really don't like the Ford blue, with the red anyway. If the car was blue I'd be ok with it. I agree that painting it red would be overkill. The chassis is black so I don't want to paint it black, that's why I thought a dark gray would work, it would seperate it from the rest of the car and have the pulleys, etc either black or polished. The intake is also aluminum but not polished. When it comes down to it there isn't all that much motor to see, the heads and intake hide most of the block except some of the front of it.

Nothing much else to show with pics, just different pics of the same thing. I will be painting the inside of the trunk soon, I hope.

How about Bronze Gold it was a Ford color somewhere along the line (CRS  ) good contrast without much showing, just a thought (maybe a little "out of the box thinking"). Try goggling Ford motor co. engine colors. Hard to say :splat: :splat: I hope to have that "problem" soon

Dennis, sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad you didn't cave and start smoking        Ben there done that and it is 10 times harder to quit again.
it needs to be lowered with big and littles. .

Ya the 65's were black block with bronze valve covers and air cleaner. There's a Ford gray I might go with, not sure yet. The only reason the motor is going in is the car is a unibody so I need to have all the suspension, motor, trans, etc. in it and the car sitting on it's wheels before I hang the doors and all the sheet metal. Doesn't take much to throw your gaps out if you do it all unsprung :flatten:

Hello

How you all been?
what the heck I should be knee deep in bad **** toys around here by now???
Gee Wiz where is my 38 wheres my mustang's?
Ya plural!!! What happened to Mike any one here from him? been long time?

Me? well I did find a little local deal fixin cars locally gives me some jingle for the toys.
Don't go thinking it so great for me its worse place I ever been But its 5 min from house day shift weekends holidays off doesnt pay worth a **** and no medical so I am still Looking for better, need to find a pro to help me with my resume.
No progress on any of my junk either just yet just starting too work up a little steam now.

Calvin has been busy He has the small block about ready to go back in the White 85 Vett I gave him.
Should be pretty decent runner with 45 cc combustion chambers flat tops and shaved the block i warned him use better rods but will he listen oh no wouldn't even use the originals I told him to reuse hell that motor didn't have 5000 miles factory 300 hp crate engine he burned up no he wants to use a used set of claimer eagles
Told him get cheap set of H beams, not that trash junk he picked up he is going to put a rod through the block or pan if he is lucky maybe he will listen then?

He still has to finish getting the small block out of the Mustang he hauled over here too.
Making him build the engines I only teach.
He wants me to watch every he does its cool we are getting along well for a change.
Hes out doing an EXTRA two weeks (special training some sort) for uncle sam and the State he should be home the end of this week, looking forward to him getting his junk out of my way out their.

It's been really slow on my end Dennis, I did prime the trunk again yesterday so it's ready for final sanding (I hope) and then paint. I always seem to find something that needs a bit more work when I sand so hopefully I'm done with that. Our weather has been the best I can ever remember, maybe a week of rain since mid March so I've been busy doing all the outdoor work you never want to do when it's raining or snowing :splat:

No idea what happened to Mike, it's been a really long while since he's been here?

Congrats on the job, may not be perfect but there's a lot to be said about working 5 mins from home and any money is good money :goodjob: :goodjob:

But speaking of updates, it's high time you got out to the shop and provided us with something to view :pcorn:

When someone says it can't be done....? They are usually interrupted by someone who is already doing it.!

Keep in mind the time spent reading the 765 pages is time you will never get back, so unless you're actually doing time you may wish to reconsider  :rotfl: :rotfl:
