Now I know what you're talking about, my 51 Chev pickup has one of those running around the cab and doors like a belt. It's a perfect place for primer & paint to build up on the top and sag down the bottom part if you're not carefull.
Love the photobucket tech sheet you provided I'm still having issues with that myself, I tried to put up 2 pics earlier and couldn't
This is it in primer, the paint does make it invisible behind the wheels which for this car is the plan.

So your doing epoxy then Primmer then base clear? We started back on the quarters and roof on the Plymouth Its ready for another coat of Feather fill. Boy That feather fill doesnt build like Slicksand does I wish I would have used Slicksand. Dont get me wrong I like the product but I wanted more build out of it especialy on the roof. Oh well live and learn but im making mental note that I need to keep both on the shelf from now on. Oh well I need to get out there and get something done Dennis B.

The outside of the inner fenders in the pics are epoxy then SS flat black. The inside of the engine bay and trunk will be epoxy and SS red (body color) The rest of the car will be the usual epoxy, slicksand, high build and SS urethane. I'm not doing base/clear on this one just SS unless I decide to shoot a final coat of clear at the end but I doubt that. I've only used slicksand, never tried featherfill, good to know, I thought they were pretty much the same thing. Rob

Feather Fill doesn't build as much. It lays down a little better than Slick Sand but I prefer Slick Sand. Wish it came in buff and black....
