Sorry to hear that on the flywheel. Did you swap out the axles yet? Hows the lifter going?

Ok engine rebuilt new fly wheel new clutch new pressure plate drive line been checked and rebalanced new u joints now rear end adjustable trailing arms bushings have been changed pinion angle checked and adjusted new tires mounted balanced and still vibration persists! the only thing left is the axles.

guess what we will be doing in next few days

Runs out like a scalded dog pretty quick little car could do with a few hundred more horse power though to suit my taste told him to build the 351 sitting there.

Cant wait to start in on the Plymouth again soon very soon eying stroker kits from 440 source

Man hope you find the vibration problem sucks when you keep going through things and still a problem persists.
Yea man those little 302's can get up. Me and my son been playing with them in different configurations from 302, 306 and 347. But no replacement for displacement that 351 will get it done a lot easier.

Well Calvin was Playing around and swapped out his axles with a set he had laying around that some one gave him still has vibration although a little better but still present, changed trailing arm bushings and readjusted Pinion angle still no help.

Well he was Playing around with one of the axles and chucked it up in my Lathe sure enough axle is bent!
Suspect used ones he put in our bent as well. Sourcing new ones today.

Now it seams he thinks he twisted the new Drive shaft already :splat:

Probably has something to do with dumping the clutch at 4000 rpm.
I drove it the other nite its not as fast as any of my big blocks I have ever built but no fear of it not getting out of its own way either!

He needs to learn its not a race car. :talkhand:

Haven't had a chance to do anything on the hood or any other part of the car in a while. Our neighbour had to move due to health issues so we ended up helping out with cleaning out stuff the movers wouldn't take, he was into racing cars so lots of fluids :splat: The same crap I have to get rid of myself so at least I'm in the same boat. I cleaned out their garage and it made me think I had better get on fixing up my house if I plan on selling it in a couple years. Been cleaning out and drywalling my garage the last few weeks, I hate doing drywall :realmad: Hopefully I can get back on track in another month or so, always feel guilty if I neglect the car for any length of time :whoops:

Sounds like the job is going well Dennis, that's nice to hear. Haven't had an update from Doug in a while, hope the 38 is moving forward

Ya Job is ok I'm settling in and they are getting used to me just as I am getting used to them, I have Been working weeks & weeks strait without a day off or a real schedule as we are short handed but have a new guy starting training next week Monday was supposed to be today but? any way shortly I should get some re-leaf and return to some sort of schedule again I hope. be nice to return to some sort of normal life instead of working every day I'm tired all I do is go to work and come home sleep get up and do it again. Salary SUCKS! I'm being taken advantage of and I know it.
I was hoping they would take notice and give me a shot at a open supervisor position in my department but I'm not sure that's gonna happen now or not a lot to the story but I may not be the Ideal candidate as I like to go by the book and they are a small company.
I Have hi hopes for a new job I applied to I really want it and hope I get a shot at it.

Calvin started the blasting of the Plymouth Last night and just as predicted the Red is flying off easily and is leaving the Epoxy behind although the new Glass Blasting material is very aggressive he says and will easily remove the Epoxy if he isn't careful with it. and I bought the fine mind you!!!! makes me wish I had just bought Baking soda but at $40-$50 a bag who can afford it?
Any way he is making short work of it there will be some heavy sanding afterward followed by another coat of Epoxy then another round of sanding then Primer then more sanding then color this time no more wet on wet attempts.

I tried to get some work done on the Plymouth Sat and Sunday but stopped as I wanna try some of that Silicon Bronze welding wire, I found a Place in Vegas that sells it and am Gonna go there and Buy some hoping its as good as they say.
