Yes I'm still here. No excuses guys just laziness :whoops: :whoops: :whoops: and yes I owe a big update. I had to slow down a bit :flatten: and put Dave on hold for about 3 weeks but we are back at it again. :allgood: :allgood: I think we have resolved most everything necessary to take the frame to the powder coaters. I promise to show some pictures SOON :bighug: . we have resolved the sway bar Issues thanks to Ken at Speedway Engineering http://www.1speedway.com/ and decided to go with a used corvette master cylinder, heck why not it was designed to work with the brakes :knockout: :knockout: :allgood: plus a bunch of little stuff :splat: :splat:
it needs to be lowered with big and littles. .

There you are hows it going other wise?

I too have been lazy don't feel bad. I have to get my Fat butt out their I'm getting FAT!!!

Calvin went out street racing the little mustang and now has a lifter ticking that Marvel mystery oil wont stop and wants me to tear it apart and fix it, I Told him it was nothing bad and to leave it alone till he gets a his cam and his Aluminum AFR heads back from the machinist but he wants me to instal a new set of lifters any way as if I don't have anything better to do! . Being a roller cam I'm gonna check and make sure the fork lifter guide didn't break and spin a lifter in the bore or that he didn't bend any push rods and call it good as Its a minor tick and not fully collapsed. I know from experience It will be hard to identify which one is causing the noise without changing all of them unless it is fully collapsed.
He went and bought a full set of lifters any way, I think its a waist of money for such a minor tick. I don't blame him from wanting to make sure about a spun lifter or bent push rod but dam its a lot of work when I have so many other things to do that I wasn't doing any way lol

He is LUCKY I like him

Dennis possibly I am poking in here with my unwanted $.02 but shouldn't Calvin be doing that and you teaching? It reminds me of the old Chinese proverb
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" Might work for installing a new set of lifters, then when he gets a his cam and his Aluminum AFR heads back he can install them?

Oh you picked up on that? Ya we had it out Friday after he got off work when I still hadn't done it for him and ya that's exactly how its gonna go down too! :rotfl:

Hes gonna learn too do it I promise you! he just afraid of the valve adjustment I assured him I wasn't gonna not be their for him I will be their every step of the way to tell him how to do it just like when he had to put the engine in it lol

I changed the oil in it and added Mystery oil to it its definitely got a bad lifter, But like I told him hes spending good money after bad when the goal is to put the 351 in it. Told him just milk the 302 along let the lifter tick it is minor not bad at all this means not hot rod it till we get the 351 done for it. That's gonna be a monster when its done, putting The 65AFR cnc heads on it with a Kinsler style electronic fuel injection 8 throttle body style manifold on it with a wild cam higher compression bored and stroked. I wanna push it past 700-800 reliable hp then set up a full floating 9 inch with big tires and go after the turbo folks at mid nite may ham in town with it on Friday nites at the Vegas speed way. There are some very fast folks down there very fast.

Well first comes respect for the engine at power levels like that thats were nursing that sick 302 comes in and his driving skills are uh better than mine I have seen him drive and I am impressed, He can drive better than me that's hard for me to accept but its Easy for me to recognize talent when I see it.

He can out drive the car the engine and the tires hes not afraid, I have to look into the classes up at the track and build accordingly plus I have to join the club.

Nothing to report on my end. My son asked me to do a little wood work project and camperize a mini van so I've been doing that, should be finished today. Needed a break from the Stang anyway :allgood:
