Nice of him to give you a week off, and then muck it up with a few days of school, guess he figured you'd be bored

Oh well, at least it beats working non stop. :knockout:

I'm about ready to get back on the Stang, right after I build another camper van :splat:

I think I mentioned it before, my son has another business on the go, renting camper vans. I built the first one a few months ago, now he's up to six of them with four more to go so he asked me to do another one. I really didn't want to but he now has 3 businesses on the go plus the farm, wife kids, etc. so you got to help when you can. They're mini vans with basically the same set up as those tear drop trailers, kitchen in the back, bed up front with table that drops down for the bed. Very practical.

Had a few spare minutes yesterday and put the stock hood on the Stang, fit pretty much perfectly without any adjusting so I'm going with that. Really wanted to use the Shelby hood but it's a piece of crap, back of it is flush as is the front and the middle is a 1/4" higher than the fenders :realmad: :realmad: :realmad: I thought Dynacorn had premium quality parts but they're total garbage. Now that I have the hood looking right I guess I'll be chucking their bunk fender in the trash as well and start working on the original one I have. Was really hoping to have a nice fresh one to work with but live and learn. :knockout: :knockout: :knockout:

I havnt been happy with any of my after market purchases as far as Body parts go.
There good for cutting up and using for Patched on originals maybe but either way there is a lot of work to even do that

Yeah I know, it's not like I've ever had any repop piece fit for any car I've done, guess was just hoping for some kind of miracle. The hood could be used if you weren't picky about how it sits, you see cars at shows with bad gaps and panel fit but it makes me nuts. :drink: The fender is horrendous, you could spend 100 hours on it and never get it to look right :splat:

So I stripped a stock fender, naturally it's been hit so I need to fix what was previously fixed, one fix was pretty good so I just need to redo the light filler coat it had but the other hit is much worse so it will need a bunch of work with the stud gun and puller. It's a big dent on the top front of the fender of all places, like someone mucked it with a sledge hammer  The backside of it has a fair bit of surface rust so I'll need to do something with that, maybe some metal conditioner like Doug did or maybe some naval jelly, never tried that before but I got some from the neighbor's cleanup.

I like the 5717 and 5718 from Dupont for light rust, heavy rust I blast clean Then treat the metal with it, stuff works great treated both the ford and the Plymouth with it.
