Hi,

I just purchased a Mazda OEM bumper that came already primered from factory. What would you recommend I do before laying the base coat? Should I sand it with 600 grit then base or lay down another layer of primer?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you are sure its primed,,like you said, sand with 600, seal it, base then clear.

Thats in the book.

I have never seen an oem mazda bumper that came primed. Was the plastic shiny when you got it? The way I check for primer is to scuff up a corner near the bottom pretty good and run your hand over it. If your fingers have black powder on them then its primed from the factory. Either way, if its primered you scuff it up and seal it. Then paint. If its not primered then you have to spray adhesion promoter, seal then paint.
