I want to paint the plastics on my quad and was wanting to make it as durable as possible!! when I have painted bumpers I just washed really good and shot it with bulldog, block coat, color and clear but now reading some post I see that some use epoxy primer!! what steps should i take with epoxy primer or can I?

Epoxy makes a great interface between the plastic and the paint itself, for durability and adhesion. Prep the plastic with 320 grit and shoot adhesion promoter, then shoot the epoxy - one wet coat. Follow the tech sheet on coating time to do the color after that...don't rush it...waiting a little longer than the minimum drying time is good.

I was down at the paint shop to order paint and the guy told me I would have to add flex agent's to the clear he said the clear will not hold up to the flex of the fenders should I or shouldn't I add it and how does it work?

Flex additives are specific to the clear that you choose. If you pull the p. sheet on the clear you should see the instructions for doing flexible parts. Most, not all, of the newer clears are so flexible that they don't need the additives. I haven't used a flex additive in 15 years or so, however those are extremely flexible parts you are working with there. Research your clears and follow the directions.

Thanks for the info! The paint shop told me he would pull up some diffrent clears and see which one has the most flex or can add to it to make it more flexable!!

If it was previously painted with Acrylic Urethane in the past, and I am going to repaint with anther Acrylic Urethane, will I need to use Adhesion Promoter again?
Thank you!
