HoK instructions state to sand down to OE finish but what is it exactly ?

I sanded this roll bar cover this afternoon and it took 2 hours :O (with 120P)

I think I'm down to the primer (gray material) but there is also some pink stuff underneath.

Do I need to get to the pink stuff ? I don't feel the need to remove everything, the OE paint is in good condition and doesn't show adhesion problems.

Thanks!

That should be fine, but at P120 a bit coarse. I'd take it up to around P320, seal, then go with the HoK instructions.

Was thinking of putting a medium build primer first to correct minor low spots.

But thanks!
