I'm finally getting around to finishing up a fiberglass top for my Cobra, and after going over the top numerous times filling pinholes, and out right craters, I primed the top today.
After the first coat of primer flashed off, it seemed like I was looking at the moon.
Well, it wasn't that bad, but there was plenty more than I knew about, but these were tiny.
I have to admit that I did cheat a bit by blasting more primer into the little holes until they were filled.
I guess I will find out after sanding it down [ I plan to put another coat of primer on anyway before final paint.].
I would bet I'm not the first to have this happen.......lol.
Arggggggh, PINHOLES!!!

Fiberglass=pinholes. You can't escape them, I blame most of it on the mold release butter that is used and dirty molds. I'm guessing that's what led to the use of SMC in the industry.....no separate mold release, nice clean molds, no more pinholes.....
