I have found my Astro star hvlp97 gun in my storage unit, however I can not seem to find any specs on it. Would like to get it up and running again and replace the plastic cap on the cup... It seems frail. Anyway any help on cfm requirements would be great.

That is a very old model. Check for a Serial number on the gun somewhere.
Find it and try this site for information: http://www.astrotools.com/index.php/cat ... =Star+HVLP

Thanks, I couldn't find it on the site. I will probably call the company. You are correct I think this was originally purchased in 1999...

I started out with the Astro EVO4014 and EVO4018 set. They are Iwata knock offs and very good starter guns. I still use the 4018 for a primer gun.

I have an Iwata LPH400 that I used until I got the De Vilbiss Tekna Copper 7E7 which I use with a the 1.4 tip set for everything but primer.
