I have a postive pressure booth setup as well and have the heater in the other room right by the blower that drives the air in so I don't need to shut it off at all while painting. I have one of the windows open in that other room so there is some cold air coming in but it doesn't have much effect, then again we don't live in Buffalo so you're fighting a tougher battle in that regard.

haha yeah this week is supposed to negative the til saturday!

A co worker who has done auto body for 30years, says I should do my car a panel at a time, well at least in primer. I have a unit heater to heat my garage but I feel like its a waste to do a panel at a time when I need to heat in this cold weather. Its ok, I plan to do my door jams, and back of my doors first so I can put the doors back on. Then once the doors are on I will take the car down to bare metal, and do additional filler work at that point... feels weird not taking all of the advice the guy gave me but I think my plan isn't too bad.

I probably won't be spraying til march... we're half way through feb already tough :goodjob:

Update on this booth:
1. I doubled the intake filter bank size.
2. Went from two fans to four fans to increase flow
3. Installed 45 degree angles on the sides of the booth where they meet the walls.
4. Moved overhead lighting to the angled portion of the walls
5. Added wall lighting to side of the booth with the window.

I will post pictures sometime in the near future.

Of course I need some new filters but you can see the increased size:

These two upgrades improved airflow and reduced turbulence greatly.
I need to install some baffles on the upper row because the air rushing by them causes suction.

Yes, air blows through the filters and the exits the booth at the other end.

You have a lot of time and money invested. That is just about a full wall of filters. Any filters on the exhaust side? What do you have pushing the air? I am guessing this is designed to allow painting a full car all at one time. What is your air flow like, light breeze, good breeze, or wind tunnel? I have never been inside a booth when it was running. What is the airflow supposed to be like? I noticed your lights are not sealed. Does this concern you?

Well, got my tent up. 10'X10' positive pressure, 3 box fans, 1,000W of light. Hope to see how it works this weekend.
