Hello !!

Since each time i have a question, you guys have always been the best of the best for the advices, i'm here again to ask you some questions :D

I'm doing a paint job for a friend of mine, on his 18 inches wheels, the tyres are still on the wheels

I wonder if i better use my small Hvlp gun ( 0.8mm nozzle ) or if i better use my normal spray gun ( Hvlp 1.3mm nozzle )

Both of them are cheap spray gun, but it works great for a beginner like me !

Since there are hard to reach areas on the wheels , i thought that maybe the mini gun was the best for the work, but can i paint the whole wheels with the small gun, or only some areas ?

this is the model of wheels ( internet picture, not mine )

Thanks you a lot for your help

regards from France :)

I like a regular gun because I don't get through the third one out of four wheels and have to reload....just me.

I have been painting for many years, and have never seen the need for a mini gun.................

For theses wheels, a regular gun with the regular cup is a little too big to reach some areas without touching something else with the gun or with the cup , since there are still the tyres ( stretch tyres ) on the wheels, but deflated, it's not easy to paint between the tyre and the top of the wheels ..

But i don't have a lot of experience, that's why i am asking, i thought it would be easier with the mini gun :)

,,If you feel that you have to use the smaller gun,,,go ahead. It will work.

Okay thanks, I am just a beginner that's why i am asking :)

Because i can't control the gun like a pro you know, i still look like a retard when i'm using it actually

So maybe i will just paint some difficults areas with the small gun, and the rest with the regular one

It makes it a lot easier when you dont have all of that crap hanging off of your gun (Like a regulator and a filter)
