Hey guys, I'm going to be adding a tekna to my collection pretty soon and I want to know what setup I should order? I work out in Southern California so it it rarely gets cold here. My question is which air caps should I get? We use ppgs omni and envirobase for base and omni clear. Also what tip size?

Thanks!

those tenkas are pretty much devilbiss gti pro - lite (rebranded for you yanks to tenka i belive)

if you want to shoot base + clear you will need both the t1/2 aircaps. 1.3 tip will suffice unless you like spraying fast then go for the 1.4 . very good guns devilbisses its all i have in my workshop

I use the TE20 cap and 1.3 needle on my ProLite almost exclusively for both base and clear (PPG Envirobase) right now. Of course, I'm not in Cali, but my booth is clean and warm and even humid, depending on the summer day ...
Why don't you talk to your local DeVilbiss rep. and get his/her suggestions?

How would I contact my devilbiss rep? Call or email devilbiss them selves?

BallerBrian -
1.) Ask your local DeVilbiss jobber/distributor
2.) Call DeVilbiss Customer Svc. at 1-800-445-3988.
3.) E-Mail DeVilbiss using the online form on their website (www.autorefinishdevilbiss.com)
4.) Look them up on FaceBook

FYI - I looked up the recommended spray settings for a ProLite and Envirobase on the DeVilbsiss website, and it recommends a TE10 or TE20 and 1.2 or 1.3 tip for basecoat. http://www.autorefinishdevilbiss.com/spray-gun-setup.aspx

Hope this helps.
