Hello,
I purchased an 80-500 pressure assist cup for the Binks Mach 1 SL gun. On top of the cup, it says part # 287.994. When I search on Google for 80-500, most images and retailer pictures show the cup having a black top while the one I bought has a silver top. Another difference is that most images show two posts (that allow you to secure the top to the cup) having metal strips going down, while the one I bought does not have any metal strips.
I cannot tell if I have a pressure assist cup or a siphon cup (I contacted Binks, they didn't help).
1. Is there a way to determine which one I have without actually using the gun (I don't want to use the gun in case I need to return it).
2. If they both happen to be the 80-500 model, do you know which one is better?
Thank you.

If it doesn't have an air inlet then it's a siphon cup...a pressure pot (if that's what we are talking about) has an air inlet...
