Hey guys, found another compressor that is being sold for cheap, the motor is shot, but the pump seems good.

I would love to use the 80 gal it has, but I don't think I will have the room for it, but I could use the pump on my current compressor.

Any idea what pump this is? it looks like a 2 stage, I only see a single intake filter on it.

If I can ID this pump and it is a decent pump that the entire package will be cheaper than a new 2 stage pump alone.

Hard to tell with no numbers or id plate to reference but it looks like an old Kellog model. They are not bad compressors but anything that old you really should inspect the cylinders and rings, and the tank needs to be inspected very carefully. Not something I'd want to take on but if you are willing to make sure it's usable and safe, it might be worth it.

guy is selling all that for $100

did those older pumps typically have a high CFM rating? if it is a two stage it should be up to 175psi, but are there low cfm 2 stage pumps out there?

I found out my current pump is pumping out around 12CFM@90PSI, so if I can get a 2 stage that produce 15CFM @ 175psi or better, I will be golden.

That price doesn't make me feel any safer about it ;-)

Impossible to answer your CFM question about that pump; once coupled with the correct speed, duty cycle and HP motor you might be able to measure it (or get a better guesstimate at lease).

I might pass the this unit since I just pulled the trigger on a brand new 2 stage pump rated at 17CFM@ 175psi, that should provide me with ample air to run anything in my garage.

Ill be replacing the single stage pump on my current compressor and adding the new pump, the tank is only a 60 gal. but hopefully the CFM and higher PSI will make up for that.

17CFM @ 175PSI

I do have some questions though, this thing has unloaders on the head and what seems like another unloader on the front, where do these things hook up to?

I already have an unloader on the check valve on the tank.

Also this thing has relief valves on each "cooler" one on each side, what is the reason for relief valves on the pump itself?
