I am new here in fact this is my first post. I am redoing a 1968 Mustang coupe. I intend to spray ALS HNR on the interior the trunk area etc. I have a drywall spray texture gun along with a small pint sized HLVP. Will the dry wall spray texture gun work? Or is there another one I might look at getting? Thanks Mike

high pressure low volume with 3 millimeter spray nozzle and undercoating guns,(air pressures vary depending on the type of gun you use). For best results apply with the Al's Texture/Spray Gun at 31 millimeter thickness in order to get the full benefits of HNR.

I did do a search on ALS HNR and did not find an answer. Thanks Again Mike

Is that a typo or do they really want that stuff sprayed 31mm thick? I don't think a normal spray gun will work, probably need a shutz gun.

I took the spec's from amazons website. Looking at the MFG website it says 31 mil now I need to figure how thick a mil is.

From the MFG web site http://www.alsliner.com/alsHNR

I hate when I have to relearn things I forgot)-;

Thanks Mike

Specs

Temperatures up to 500°F
Reflects exterior temperatures by 45°F or more
Recommended Application Thickness - 31 mil
Coverage @ 31 mils - 44 sq/ft per gallon
Dry Time - 1 Hour @ 70°F (Allow up to 24 hours for full dry time)

Ah. mm is millimeter, mil is 1/1000th of an inch. Big difference ;-)

I still think you will need a 'shutz' type of gun, but probably best to check with the manufacturer.

Thanks and Merry Christmas. I am new to this so the 31 mm didn't mean anything to me when I read it, so I didn't look any deeper into it. After the two post here I decided to look and see what was what and figured an inch and a half was a really thick coating. I went to the MFG website and found the 31 mil. Thanks Again
