Just clean gun throughly after each use with spraying primer/sealer and you'll be fine..

1.4 for primer, especially if it's high build, is a bit on the small side and may need the product thinned a little more to get it spraying right. I use a 1.5 for a surfacer and 1.8 or 2.0 for high build or high solids primers.

Depending on your painting style 1.4 may also be a little big for base and clear. I use 1.3 for these, finding 1.2 too slow and 1.4 a little fast. I'm a medium speed painter.

I'd say get the 1.8 and use it for your primer then practice with your 1.4 to get your technique right for both base and clear.
