I have a Hobart Handler 135 mig. I would like to clean the inside of the liner. Was considering removing the liner and flushing with brake cleaner in a spray can, followed with
compressed air.

Will it work?
Any other suggestions?
Not looking to replace it with new, just want to do preventive maintenance.

If I can ask - why do you want to clean the liner?

Just be careful with brake cleaner you don't want to find out that it softens the neoprene covering over the liner, if it seeps into it.

I was getting some less than good welds with the Hobart and wand.

I took the liner out, rinsed well with brake cleaner, blew with compressed air [ yep, it had oily residue on it ], and replaced the 3 O rings on it. Now it works well again.

This was not only cheaper than buying a new liner, but I didn't have to order one in [ yes, its a special order item ] and wait, wait, and wait some more...........interrupting my project.
