Have you tried soaking the gun in gun cleaner? How about tearing almost all the way down and running a round nylon brush through all the passageways. I have a set of brushes of different sizes that works great for this. They look sort of like a pipe cleaner. I had an issue with a cheapo mini gun that wasn't spraying properly. I soaked it in paint stripper for an hour or so and it softened up the blockage. A big snotty pile of gunk came out. I was able to get everything cleaned out. It sprayed great after that. Anyway, I hope you get your plus gun working. Mine sprays great and I love it. Good luck. -Vetsen |
It would be nice to hear the outcome of this. DeVilbiss is a good brand so this thread title is a little sad to see on the site here. "done with harbor freight" I would expect...DeVilbiss, not so much...

I use a divilbiss gfg-670. Lays down clear like glass. Some jobs don't even need wet sanded or buffed. I use the flg4 for color. I can see a real difference in how the two spray for sure.

You are doing something wrong! I have owned a Devilbiss plus GFG-670 for 3 years. It is my clear gun and sprays flawlessly. At 6 inches I can get a 10-12 inch pattern but I like 6-8 inches.Check your vent hole or it needs serious cleaning!
