Looking to buy a touch up mini gun and not sure on tip size? I really like my Sharpe FX3000 so I'd figure maybe a FX1000 mini w/1.0 tip? Seems to get great reviews on Amazon but Im not sure if I can spray clear with that small of tip? I need it to spray some SS but may use it for clear in the future, will it work?

Sure it will work...you will need to add reducer though, and up the pressure a bit.

Aww didnt think about that, thanks Chris. Just shot some SS and its pretty thin, do you think that I'd have to reduce that also?

You can always just try it unreduced and see how it behaves. There's a balance in this equation between tip size, fluid delivery volume, air pressure and material viscosity. For your gun one of those four variables is fixed (the tip size); you can tweak the others to get the application correct.
