I plan to rent a large compressor when it's time to spray my base and clear. I've got a Harbor Freight cheap 2.5 hp 21 gallon compressor 5.8 cfm @ 90 psi and 4.7 @ 90 psi. Do you think I can primer a small car if I run two of these compressors together? I plan to spray my 2K primer with their "6 cfm" rated cheap gun. My neighbor has another one I can borrow. Are this HF tool rating even close?

I plan to spray 2k high build primer surfacer with a cheap hf 6 cfm rated gun. Compressors are rated 5.8 cfm at 40 psi and 4.7 at 90. Any thoughts? I plan to use a better quality gun and possibly rent a larger compressor to spray base clear.

Should work for primer, yes.

Do you think I can get away with shooting base/clear with this setup if I use a Grizzy LVLP gun? Without the big compressor?
