Hi guys, like the title says; I have an opportunity to buy a Devilbiss FVFR-2 filter set at an amazing price.

I know they are primarily for air fed breathing devices in the trade, but my question is will this filter setup also work (if so, how well?) in providing me with clean dry air for spray painting?

At the moment I have a home made 4 dogleg trap copper system which has been pretty effective, but let's be honest - it's a bit backyarder hehe :)

Your thoughts appreciated, thanks

Is it this one?

Hi Chris, Yep that's exactly it.

Is it good for spray guns too or only suitable for clean breathing air and I'd need something else to remove other moisture and contaminates in the air?

Cheers

Well, the first line under Overview in that reads.....
"High air flows for conventional and compliant spray guns."
So I'm thinking you'd be okay.

Okay good. I guess 0.01 micron filtration is good for any type of air work then. I was just confused because it doesn't look like a desiccant filter that I've seen around the place. Or whether people use these for their masks, and other filters for their dry air.

Looks like a good filter, but don't know if it will remove moisture the way a desiccant system would.
