So I picked up an Iwata LS 400 on eBay. I'm pretty much a **** painter and was looking to get a better gun than the harbor freight gun I use for primer and the Finex 3000 for BC/CC. Anyway the air cap is LS-400-04 silver which is the hybrid air cap. I ordered the regular gold cap (non hybrid) for basecoat. I can't find the answer but I'm assuming the only difference between the H vs standard is the air cap? Meaning no issues interchanging caps?

I ended us calling Anest Iwata and my assumption was right. The air caps are interchangeable. The gal on the phone did tell me that they're discontinuing the hybrid line and going with the new green cap for both base and clear.
