I bought a Asturo 4008 WB HTE paint spray gun from Spray Gun World (BIG Mistake) and every time I call them I get there voice mail. I left messages, however they have not responded back. The gun came with 2.5, 1.5, and 1.3 nozzle, cap, and needle. Also included was a blue cap in a plastic bag marked HTE air cap. when would the blue cap be used and with what size configuration. The owners manual was absolutely worthless. This is my first HVLP type spay gun. Any information would be appreciated.

It is very hard to decipher, but I'm assuming this gun has an option of being either HVLP or HTE. Their pictures suggest the green cap (assuming that's what came on the gun) is HVLP and the blue cap is HTE. Here's a page on the differences: http://www.spraygunworld.com/Informatio ... vs_rp.html
Hopefully, someone more familiar or knowledgeable can confirm the above or provide more perspective. |
I attempted to try the "Got Question Link", however it doesn't work. They still haven't returned my call. Looks like a made a big mistake!

MrStop is correct in above post. the green cap is for your HVLP and the blue is for your Reduced pressure "RP" or HTE "high transfer efficiency. both caps will work with any of the nozzle size that came with that gun. hope that helps.
